More on Writing Stories For Children

kidsstories
There are still places available on the Writing Stories for Children course starting in November. As with all Parkwrite courses, I’ll adapt it to the interests of the students attending, which means we may concentrate on writing for young children, early readers, or quite sophisticated juniors. Writing for children, besides being a pleasure in itself, is fantastic for developing basic writing skills – the development of storylines, the creation of engaging characters, and more – which will also be of value to those whose main interest lies in writing for adults. I am a working writer as well as a creative writing tutor, happy to share my own experiences – including the mistakes – as I work on what I hope will be my 57th published book. I’ve put an extract on the blog page here as an example of writing for 9 to 12s.

Please will you let me know if there are any courses coming up for writing children stories or poetry. I’m a complete novice but would like to know more on how to start writing.
    Many thanks
