The Book of Cardiff – my contribution

Comma Press have released The Book of Cardiff, an anthology of stories which create a portrait of the city, both past and present, and having lived in this city for nearly forty years, I’m delighted to have a story included alongside those of great Cardiff writers such as Dannie Abse, Leonora Brito and National Poet of Wales Hanan Issa, who back in 2014 was one of my first Parkwrite students.

My story is “Dead Mouse Revisited”. It’s based on the life of Catherine Morgan, the real-life Mrs Pratchett of Roald Dahl’s “Boy – Tales of Childhood”, and hopefully will give readers a whole new perspective on the famous mouse-in-sweets episode.

My documentary on the same subject has to date clocked up more than 11,000 views on Youtube.

Look out for news of more courses. You’ll hear about these straight away if you follow this blog. I’ve had one or two health issues but will hopefully be back in action in the new year. Places on the next course can be reserved and editorial advice is available at any time.
